ENERGY

Akça Energy Group commenced its electricity generation and trading activities in 1998 with the establishment of Akça Enerji Üretim Otoprodüktör Grubu A.Ş. In 2006, it completed and commissioned its first investment, a highly efficient natural gas cogeneration plant with an installed capacity of 20 MW.

As of 2007, following the completion of R&D studies on Renewable Energy Projects, new investment decisions were taken to expand the Group’s activities in the Turkish energy sector. Within this framework, our investments were successfully completed and commissioned as follows: a 4 MW Geothermal Power Plant in Sarayköy/Denizli, a 19.2 MW Wind Power Plant in Aliağa/İzmir, a 19.4 MW Geothermal Power Plant in Alaşehir/Manisa, and a 22.5 MW Wind Power Plant in Aliağa & Bergama/İzmir.

Project feasibility and engineering studies for Solar Power Plant investments are ongoing.

It is planned to reach a total installed capacity of 175 MW by bringing into operation our projects of 75 MW Geothermal Energy, 75 MW Wind Energy and 25 MW Solar Energy by the year 2020.

In order to contribute to the bright future of our country, we are steadfastly continuing our investments in renewable energy.
